The hosting company with the funny name. I am not sure why a serious business would choose a name like this but hey, I fell for it.

Following is a list some of the experience I have had in the past with FatCow as a hosting provider.

1. Tips and Tricks
  • Connection aborted
  • File and Folder Links
  • Test if htaccess is working
2. Apache Web Server
  • NoCase option not supported
  • Verify .htaccess is read
  • Unique ID per request
  • Execution order
3. Amazon Web Services
  • Message rejected: Address blacklisted
  • Enable FTP in EC2
  • Installing Zend Guard Loader
4. Zend Guard
  • Zend Optimizer versus Guard Loader
  • Zend Guard Loader download
  • Zend Guard Loader on CentOS
  • Verify Zend Guard installation
  • Zend Guard loading problems
  • ... ( more )
5. FatCow
  • Connection Speed
6. GoDaddy
  • Administratively denied
  • Envelope Sender in badmailfrom list

As with all experiences one has they are moments in time. Maybe it was a one time even and will never happen again, good or bad. So take them with a grain of salt and consult other sources if you have to make a decision about using their service.
