Support for URL shortener is now included primarily and thanks to the ZF upgrade. The great benefit can be seen with the Tweet button. The link is a short URL to begin with and does not rely on Twitter to shorten the link which unfortunately happens only once the tweet has been sent. I guess that many users are not aware of that and get confused with the little room they have for text.

Supported Shortener Services

The Zend Framework comes with about handful of services and I picked tinyurl.com as the default. I will probably add support for bit.ly and goo.gl at some point later on.
