Thanks to my background in server engineering, web hosting and networking my Consulting Services go way beyond what you would simply call web design and development.

If you have a website and you are not happy with performance, search results (SEO) or the overall services you receive from your current provider you should ask for a second opinion.

Getting a second opinion is the main reason why you should even consider consulting. Especially if the first opinion is your own opinion and you already know something is wrong. Many times the main problem is NOT seeing what is wrong because of your point of view and perspective.

Performance

Although we get faster networks and devices almost every day we still have to keep an eye on the size of our webpages.

Studies show that the expectation by your visitors is getting lower at the same rate. If your webpage is not ready in less than three (3) seconds your visitor might close the window. Turn away and going to the next link in the search results. What is worse, a visitor will even judge your business by the presence of your website.

If you don't care about your website you probably don't care about your clients, too.

You might be surprised how little it takes to damage the performance of a website but hopefully also how little to fix it and give your website a well deserved performance boost.

Maybe it's just a few images, rearrange a few lines of code or even just move it to another hosting provider can have a huge impact on the performance.

Search engine optimization (SEO)

Some say it is over valued or just a hype but it certainly is a major topic nowadays if you have a website and you want to be found in Google, Bing or Yahoo. Your business may not entirely depend on your website but it would be certainly nice when every person can see and click your link when they search for your business. You would be surprised how many websites are not listed within the first 10 results even when somebody searches for the business directly.

Here is another important piece of free advice: Don't use your regular PC and web browser to test and search for your business. Many browsers and Google are in cahoots and will remember your browse and search history and very likely list your business on top simply because you use it a lot.

Although I don't provide explicit SEO services I know the technical side of SEO very well and also how to make your website SEO friendly. I also know the secrets of the trade and what works well and what not. If you like to hire an SEO guru I got a question for you: "How do you know this guru is any good?" I usually don't recommend somebody but I will guide you to define your SEO strategy so you are able to even talk to a SEO expert that is right for you.

Here's where I can really help you immediately with SEO. Many website are just not ready for SEO or web designers don't know how to implement it properly. There are ways to fix that for little money, you might be surprised when the same webpage suddenly ranks on the first page without any dirty SEO tricks and hiring that expensive SEO guru.
