My Business

Overview

Here's a little break down at what I do and where I can help you. I am a Freelance Fullstack PHP Web Developer from Austin Texas (USA).

Fullstack PHP Web Development

This website you are looking at is entirely build with the Zend Framework 1.12 which is written in PHP. This framework is all about OOP (object-oriented programming) and the MVC (Model-View-Controller) pattern. Hence, so is my work!

If you need something written, fixed or extended in either plain PHP that follows best practices (like OOP and MVC) or the Zend Framework, then you should definitely get in contact with me.

Being a Fullstack Developer means I also care for the frontend part of a website. This includes Javascript, jQuery, CSS and HTML. I also care deeply for API and AJAX to provide a state of the art experience.

Web Design

Well, the word "Design" in my company name is not quite accurate. I am not really a web designer in the sense of graphics but when it comes to code for design, I am all yours. If you look at a webpage essentially you are looking at code written in HTML, CSS and probably JavaScript, too.

While graphic designers are pretty darn good at drawing and doing creative work many feel the opposite of me when it is time to turn the graphics into code. They lack some passion for the coding part of a design. Many people don't acknowledge the code as part of the "Web Design" or think that a Web Designer does not need to know or understand code but code is undeniably a part of a webpage and therefore the design.

If you are looking at Web Design from a code perspective and want your web pages to simply work let me know.

Problem solving

As a former supporter and systems engineer I am very proficient at solving problems. If you have serious problem with with your website or also web server and you have tried many solutions and nothing worked, this is where I thrive.

I always like a good riddle and with experience in so many fields I am very successful at finding the root of the problem in a timely matter. By the way, you should always look for the root cause. Without it every solution is only what we call a "work-around" and never a fix for the problem. When the root cause was never found or understood the "work-around" will introduce new headaches don't the road. That is not how I roll!

I will always go for the root cause—then I present the solution. I am the first to admit, it takes more time and labor but only when you know the problem you can implement a proper fix. Don't settle for a "work-around", get a fix. If you have a problem and don't like workaround drop me a line.

Fine tuning

Finally, this might be a combination of all the above but when things get out of whack many things can happen. Your web pages will take forever to load or not load at all and crash. Another thing that many people are not aware of is that their web site suffers in rating and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) becomes a real issue from a coding perspective.

Most web sites can benefit in many ways with some fine tuning and if you have any doubts let me have a look at it and I will perform some test. Based upon my findings I can give you some advice and maybe with some minor adjustments we can make great improvements.
